The CIC run a Christmas Bazaar each year, usually on the first weekend in December and the proceeds distributed to local charities.

There are lots of stalls with things to buy as well as such favorites as a bottle stall, cake stall and our famous instant raffle. There is a refreshment stall and entertainments arranged for both days.

Do come and join in either as helper or supporter - the charities really do appreciate our financial help.

The CIC run a regular program of walks mainly through the period September to May, as it gets too hot in summer.  All members are welcome to come and bring a guest, but to ensure safety we have a number of simple rules we ask all walkers to comply with.  These are published as a reminder with the details of each walk both in the CIC Times and in the Events Calendar on the website.

Please book by phone with the nominated walk organiser before 6pm any day before the published deadline.  This is primarily to ensure that the walk numbers remain manageable and that we know who to expect on the day of the walk. We can also advise the taverna owner of final numbers, if we are stopping for a meal after the walk.

We have developed a grading system for the walks to try to give an indication of how strenuous any particular walk might be and this is described in the September 2005 issue of the CIC Times and here on the website.
